Fall 2007

At the beginning of the year, I have the usual "help me" standards from my department of approximately 30, as well as from other colleagues. The most frequented requests for tech. assistance/education/training at the onset of the year include, but are not limited to:
1. e- grade book
set up reminders, copy, what's new...
2. what's new that has changed from last year
3. New Teacher's getting situated
4. web pages

a. individual teacher/coach page(s)
b. department page
c. updates, in general
All of the above remain constant as time demands. The Apperson Scanner, since it is relatively new to Eng. dept., also supplies content for several how-to questions/training. Typically, a quick question turns into a training session; I try to sneak a new trick or two in during this time to help make teachers' lives simpler or shorter on task-time-that-takes-away-from-sanity.
There's much more to be said on the above post, but for now, further "quick" jots for the year!

Hi Nicole,

This could be a great way for our department to ask you questions about tech stuff. Maybe you could share this through email.

Nice job.
